Cellulose Insulation and Air Sealing in Attic - Franklin Square, NY

A resident of Franklin Square had a free in-home evaluation. The homeowner was having some comfort concerns. It was determined that the home could benefit from new insulation and air sealing in the attic. Before blowing in cellulose insulation, we air sealed the attic floor. Air sealing is always recommended when putting in new insulation because it seals up all air leaks in the home. We then blew in 12" of Cellulose insulation, providing a superior R-value per inch. Now that the attic is sealed and insulated properly, the customer should now experience warmer winters and cooler summers, as well as a less drafty home.
