This homeowner in Central Islip, NY reached out to our company looking for energy efficient suggestions. Every winter she goes through the same thing with the house being freezing all the time and money is just going out the window trying to keep it heated. We scheduled an appointment with our home comfort specialist Ryan to go to her home to perform an evaluation and see what we could do to help her problems. After the evaluation, Ryan determined that this house was not insulated to today's standards. The current insulation was flat, thin, and old. Ryan recommended air sealing the space to help with any drafts in the home where all the heat is leaking out of. As well as adding 10" of blown in cellulose insulation to help bring up the R-value in the attic. Now the customer is experiencing a more comfortable year round. As well as lower utility bills because she isn't constantly having to run her heating system all the time.

Before and After of a Centereach, NY Attic Install. Triple H crew reinsulated this attic with new blown in cellulose insulation and added a catwalk for easy access to the AC unit.
A Port Jefferson resident contacted Triple H for their poorly insulated attic. They were experiencing a very uncomfortable and drafty home. The attic floor of the home was not properly insulated. This allowed for heat from the living space to be lost to the outdoors through the vented attic. This customer also wanted to have space in the attic for storage. The Attic SuperDeck was the absolute best solution for this home. The Superdeck seals all major air leaks along the exterior walls, if the ceiling joist cavities are not filled with insulation cellulose is used to fill them. Then soffit baffles are installed as needed to keep loose insulation out of the soffits. After that wood dams are installed to contain loose insulation on the outboard side of the SuperDeck. SilverGlo is then installed across the bulk of the attic floor to provide a superior R-Value. Finally, wood sheets are installed to create the storage decking. The complete Attic SuperDecking has fantastic results! It makes the home much warmer, more comfortable and saves on the cost of heating and cooling as well as providing an outstanding storage area.
