The knee wall of the home had old fiberglass on the knee wall itself and no insulation on the floor. There was also no air sealing. Triple H Insulation air sealed all open penetrations, installed SilverGlo on the Knee wall and denspacked the roof. Cellulose insulation was added to the attic floor. al well. The home is now much more comfortable.

A resident of Smithtown was having some comfort issues in their house, causing it to be cold all the time in there daughters room and main den. After an evaluation it was determined that they would benefit from adding in new attic insulation. Triple H went in and air sealed all the air leaks in the attic, as well as sealed all the ducts in the home. If you have air leaks in the ducts, the rooms farther away from the air handler will not heat or cool as well, so it’s recommended to do this. Next, they installed baffles (air chutes) in each rafter bay to keep soffit vents clear and prepare for insulation. They then blew in 10” of cellulose insulation, resulting in a warmer, more comfortable home with lower fuel and electric bills.
