This Kneewall space is insulated with blown in cellulose insulation and SilverGlo foam board insulation on the roof rafters. And behind the SilverGlo this is dense packed cellulose insulation to overall make you the home more comfortable
This homeowner from North Babylon, NY was looking to get his crawl space properly insulated and waterproofed. Triple H went installed a crawl space encapsulation system with drainage matting. SilverGlo foam insulation boards are installed on the walls to increase the R-value in the space and a dimpled plastic drainage matting is installed across the floor to create an airspace and thermal break. Finally, the crawl space encapsulation liner is installed permanently across the dirt floor. Now this home will have much lower humidity, much warmer floors upstairs and a more comfortable home.
After an evaluation for a customer in Deer Park, NY it showed that his attic wasn’t properly insulated resulting in cold drafty rooms, cold floors, and he was having a hard time heating his home. Triple H removed the old insulation. Then they sealed all the various points where air from the home leaks up into the attic and is lost. Then they blew in 12” of TruSoft Cellulose Insulation to reach optimum R-value. TruSoft will not burn, get moldy or attract pests. Now with updated insulation this home will be warmer, more comfortable, less drafty, and easier to keep comfortable resulting in lower fuel and electric bills.
After Triple H completed an energy assessment of this customer's home in Northport, it was determined that their attic was improperly insulated. Before blowing in cellulose insulation, we sealed the high hats (can lights) with covers so none of the heat from the house escapes into the attic. This customer will have a warm home and lower energy bills due to the cellulose insulation and air sealing that was done.
The customer in Northport had concerns about cold floors above their basement. After completing the assessment it was determined that the rim joist had not been properly sealed, allowing cold air to enter the basement and effect the floors above. Triple H used closed cell spray foam to insulate and air seal the rim joist. By doing this it will keep cold air out and will keep the basement warmer resulting in warmer floors upstairs.
