Triple H Crew insulated this home in Bellport, NY with 10" of blown in cellulose insulation and also air sealed all the air leaks in the space to prevent air leakage and drafts. Insulation does not stop air leaks, we first carefully air seal the many various points where air from your home leaks up into your attic and is lost. Then the 10" of TruSoft cellulose insulation is blown into the space. Trusoft will not burn, get moldy or attract pests. Blown Insulation fills all gaps and odd shaped voids.
This home in Rocky Point was experiencing discomfort. The insulation in the attic was aged and needed to be replaced. The ducts of the HVAC system that resides in the attic was not properly sealed. Both of these issues caused the house to be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. To make this home more comfortable again, Triple H sealed all the HVAC ducts and installed Cellulose insulation. The family of this home will now be comfortable again!
A customer contacted Triple H and was having comfort issues with the rooms upstairs being too cold. After an evaluation it was determined that their Knee Wall space was causing the discomfort. A Knee Wall space is created when a finished room is built within a sloped roof. With this space not being insulated the floor of the upper level, the ceiling of the lower level, and the knee wall are all cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Triple H went in and installed blocks of SilverGlo Foam insulation between the ceiling joist bays. SilverGlo also has a radiant barrier which gives some thermal benefits, so the insulation is not doing all the work. This will result in significantly warmer upstairs rooms in the winter and cooler in the summer, as well as gaining a space suitable for storage.
The Triple H Crew install a catwalk with borders to help with easy access to the HVAC system, as well as to help contain the blown-in insulation that is added into the attic space.
This customer from East Patchogue contacted us to have a Free Home Energy Assessment. After completing the assessment, it was obvious that this customer needed new attic insulation to fix their comfort concern. Triple H removed all the old insulation. They then air sealed the attic floor to prevent air leaks in the home and then blew in 16” of Cellulose insulation. Triple H also added a Catwalk to make it easy to access all the mechanicals in the attic . Now this home will now maintain a more comfortable climate and reduce cost of heating and cooling.
