This homeowner in Shirley, NY requested a free in home evaluation. He had just purchased the home and knew the attic needed to be re insulated. Triple H performed the evaluation and suggested that the attic be air sealed and insulated with Borate Cellulose. We also installed a Mechanical Catwalk to ensure easy access to the HVAC unit. This customer will now be much more comfortable and should see savings in his utility bills.
After Triple H Contracting completed a home energy assessment a this home in Ridge, it was determined that this customer's attic was lacking proper insulation, leading to comfort issues and excessive heating and cooling losses. To help improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs, we insulated the attic bringing the R-Value from R-9 to R-49. We also air sealed the electrical and plumbing penetrations and installed a storage platform at the customer's request. R-value is a measure of how well an object resists the conductive flow of heat; the greater the R-value, the greater the resistance, and so the better the thermal insulation properties. R-values are used in describing the effectiveness of insulation and in the analysis of heat flow across assemblies (such as walls, roofs, and windows) under steady-state conditions.
A homeowner from Mastic, NY was having comfort concerns with the rooms above his crawlspace. After having a free home energy assessment, it was found that his crawlspace insulation was old and falling apart. Triple H went in and removed all the old, damaged insulation and added SilverGlo Wall insulation to his crawl space. Triple H also installed a SaniDry Sedona. A SaniDry Sedona crawl space air system is a powerful but energy efficient dehumidification and air filtration system in one unit. This customer should now experience warmer floors upstairs, much less humidity, and overall a more comfortable home.
A home in Mastic, NY was in desperate need of updated attic insulation. Triple H removed the old insulation. Then the whole attic was air sealed tight to prevent any air leakage. The Triple H crew then add 12” of blown-in cellulose insulation into the attic space till it reaches the optimum R-value of R60. Now this customers home should be warmer, less draft, and more comfortable house that you’ll notice.
