A homeowner from Mastic Beach reached out out to Triple H Contracting for help with insulation in their home. The insulation in the attic of the home was old and lacking efficiency. We removed and disposed of all of the old insulation in the attic. After the insulation was removed we then air sealed all the penetrations on the attic floor. We then blew in 10" of Borate Cellulose insulation into the attic. The homeowner now has a tightly air sealed home with proper insulation. Their home will now be more comfortable as well as more efficient.
This homeowner from Mastic Beach had a free home energy assessment due to some concerns about her attic insulation. After the analysis of the home was completed, Triple H suggested that this customer upgrade the insulation in her attic. Triple H air sealed all penetrations on the attic floor before blowing in Cellulose insulation. To make sure the attic is as air tight as possible an attic tent was also installed. Now that this home has been air sealed and has proper insulation the customer will experience a more comfortable home as well as savings on their utilities.
This customer contacted Triple H Contracting and wanted an estimate for roof insulation for his vented attic space. Vented attics that aren’t properly insulated are hostile places, easily reaching 30 degrees in winter and 125 degrees in the summer. After the home comfort specialist performed an evaluation it was noticed that there was no insulation. It was recommended to use Foamax Panels. Triple H went in and installed the Foamax Polyisocyanurate foam insulation boards on the underside of the roof deck. The superior R-value and foil face on the outside reflects heat out in summer. With the Foamax installed the customer should experience a less drafter home that stays warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
