The Triple H crew went to this home in Southampton, NY to reinsulate an attic that truly needed it. They started by removing the old fiber glass insulation. Then air sealing the whole attic and adding retaining walls to keep the new insulation contained as well as keeping a space to have easy access to the mechanicals in the attic. The crew then added 16” of Blown In Cellulose to the space. After its all done the home will be less draft, more comfortable, and easy to heat and cool. As well as having a clean attic space.
Triple H Contracting was requested to preform an in home evaluation at a home in Sag Harbor. Upon completion of the evaluation it was suggested that Borate cellulose be used to insulate the attic. Triple H Contracting removed the existing insulation in the attic, then air sealed the attic floor, as well as used blown in cellulose insulation to properly insulate the attic. For this homeowner a small storage platform was also built to give the customer a nice clean storage space. Now that this home is properly insulated the home owner will be more comfortable and the home will be more efficient.
We used Dr. Energy Saver premium TruSoft™ cellulose insulation to blow insulation to the optimum R-value. TruSoft™ will not burn, get moldy, or attract pests. Blown insulation fills all gaps and odd shaped voids. By by filling over framing members, “thermal bridging” is avoided.
