A resident of Mattituck contacted Triple H regarding comfort concerns in their home. One of the issues discovered was their bath fan was exhausting into their attic instead of outside. Additionally, the attic did not have a radiant barrier or proper air sealing throughout, including around high-hats. Our team fixed this problem by insulating the knee walls with Silver Glow rigid foam board, covering the light fixtures with a rockwool cap and, air sealing with one-part spray foam.
This customer requested a free Home Energy Assessment at their home. After the assessment and talking with the customer about all their concerns, it was decided that they would benefit from having cellulose insulation blown into the attic. Triple h removed and disposed of all the old insulation in the attic. After that we then air sealed all the air leaks on the attic floor. We then blew in cellulose insulation, which is resistant to fire, mold, and pest, making it a great choice. After insulating the attic, the customer will have a warmer, more comfortable and less drafty house.
A homeowner from Cutchogue, NY contacted Triple H Insulation with complaints that their home is always cold and drafty. Our home comfort consultant Bill performed a free evaluation of their home. Upon completion of the evaluation Bill provided a solution to improve the attic. Triple H removed and disposed of all the existing insulation in the attic, then the team air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 16 inches of TruSoft cellulose. They then air sealed and insulated the two ceiling levels in the attic using SilverGlo insulation foam boards. The homeowner will now be more comfortable and the home will be more energy efficient.
This customer from New Suffolk requested we visit her home. Her main concern at this time was that her pipes may freeze due to the cold weather we have been experiencing. In order to help prevent the pipes from freezing Triple H installed Foamax. Foamax is a highly effective insulation panel. Foamex is a great option of insulation to improve both comfort and efficiency. In this case by using Foamax to insulate this customer's crawl space she should be warmer and not have an issue with her pipes. The home will also become more efficient.
The Triple H crew went to this home in Southampton, NY to reinsulate an attic that truly needed it. They started by removing the old fiber glass insulation. Then air sealing the whole attic and adding retaining walls to keep the new insulation contained as well as keeping a space to have easy access to the mechanicals in the attic. The crew then added 16” of Blown In Cellulose to the space. After its all done the home will be less draft, more comfortable, and easy to heat and cool. As well as having a clean attic space.
